Girl Scouts
Girl Scouts is the world's largest organization dedicated to helping girls
gain skills, build confidence, develop strong leadership, build character, and
set goals that lead to successful living. The purpose of Girl Scouting is "to
inspire girls with the highest ideals of character, conduct, patriotism, and
service so they may become successful women and resourceful citizens".
There are four age groups with age appropriate activities. Girls earn badges
for accomplishments and fulfilling certain activities which can include arts
& crafts, learning outdoor skills, community service, selling Girl Scout
cookies and much more. In addition, activities and community partnerships promoting
math, science, and technology are taught at every age level. Look for Girl Scout
Cookie orders in January and February and booth sales in March and April.
