Summer Jobs For Teens!
Besides the typical jobs of babysitting, pet sitting, etc., young people can apply at the many fast food restaurants, sit-down restaurants, retail shops, and movie theatres. Teens with special skills in instruction such as swim instructors, sports, arts, etc. should call providers of summer camps. Many local cities such as Scottsdale and Tempe, offer a teen employment program. These programs provide job workshops for teens as well as referrals for local employment. Although most jobs require a minimum age of 16, there are temporary jobs for 13 – 15 years olds such as housework, yard cleanup, computer assistance, etc. Attending a job fair is a great way to meet prospective employers as well.
